Our Process
Every video we make is crafted specifically to the needs of the client, with scales ranging from mere days to several months of planning, filming and editing. Crew sizes and equipment vary almost as much. As Vancouver is a well known hub for international productions, it pays to be flexible and adaptable, but there is a process we always adhere to with every client, no matter the scale...
01.
Development
Your ideas meet our ideas and eventually become the script or the storyboard for our production. We nail down a theme, goal and rough budget. A concept that fits said theme, goal and budget, as well as your timetable is pitched and modified as necessary, until you, the client, signs off and 'greenlights' the production.
02.
Pre-production
Now that we have a blueprint, it's time to make a solid plan. Starting with a schedule to match the client timetable, we work backwards to finalize the budget, hire crew, secure permits and prepare for filming. Sometimes we rent additional locations or equipment or even audition actors!
03.
production
This is where the magic happens. Production days are long, exciting and challenging. They don't necessarily involve the client directly at all. Depending on the project, actors or interview subjects are filmed as much as possible in locations selected beforehand. Make-up, wardrobe, lighting, sound and other details are carefully tailored to match the theme and project goals. Crews range from 2 to 20, with more locations, more subjects and more complex shots requiring more people, more hours and more planning.

post production
Now we get to the really fun part. Where you, the client, get to see what we accomplished together. Editing takes place in multiple stages, from 'Assembly' to 'Final Cut.' At each stage, we work together to refine and improve the final production, to create a product that everyone can love.
